Shavonne Simon is a devoted mother of three. She holds a Master's in Management from the University of Phoenix in 2008 and received a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Capella University in 2014. She is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Gamma Rho Zeta Chapter.

Shavonne inspired by her life experiences, formal education, faith, and compassion for youth and community founded Truly Valued, a non-profit whose mission is to build self-esteem, confidence, and character of young women through mentorship. Shavonne recognizes that young women have competing influences in their lives and systematic barriers in accessing success and resources; therefore, she provides inspirational community leadership, creating a positive lasting impact. Truly Valued under Shavonne's skillful guidance influences young women, helping them fulfill their inherent potential by spreading joy and hope in perilous times.
